December 29th, 2003!

That's the day I joined deviantART! and nearly two weeks later this appeared, my first ever deviation, and the Windy had landed!



Since then I have made soooo many wonderful friends (whom I've never seen - are you all imaginary?) who are so generous in their support and encouragement.

For those that have heard my story before you can skip the rest

I gave up art when I went to college (it didn't sit too well with microbiology and biochemistry ) and did virtually nothing until I chanced upon dA. "Ooo - this looks interesting", I thought to m'self, "what would happen if I added something?"

You know what "arty" types can be like!

Imagine my amazement when I got lots of support and encouraging feedback so I thought I'd do some more! So you've only got yourselves to blame for the volume of drawing I now produce

I've got a big gallery (oooer missus) because I have not deleted anything - this shows me how much my technique and artistic ability has improved since I started here (even though I hate some of the older stuff) - and that would not have happened without dA and its deviants (hurrah). There are very few places on this earth where there is so little sexism, ageism, racism (any other ism you can think of) and it is a refreshing sight to see (and even better to be a part of)

Now I do art to relax - When the going gets tough, the pencils get sharpened!

And who has done all of this? Well, me actually - no, no, no, no, no, no, no - none of it would have happened without you lot!

Now, before I start getting heckles of "lovey" I'll shut up and get the old drawing pad out

PS - it's my fortieth birthday coming up in July and the Bestiary is nearing the 100 mark so expect some competitions from me in the near future. Damn it - I'll have a competition when I reach 333,333 too - that's a third of a million people who've dropped by my homepage (my gob is completely smacked).
