dA Bestiary No 5 by Windy999 dA Bestiary No 5 by Windy999
You should see the number of metamorphoses this thing went through before I ended up with this!

It started out as a machine - went through an insect phase before I ended up with a sponge

I really like the result though - even if it is meandering towards the weird end of the spectrum.

You can add more suggestions for the bestiary in my journal here [link]

Every now and again, it pays to take a look in the mirror and laugh at yourself. The da Bestiary by *Windy999 is how we as an online society can do just that. dA Bestiary No 5 is one in a series of caricatures of ourselves. We'll be featuring one of them a day for the first sixteen in the series. ( Featured by dygel )

You nailed this one.

I used to work at AOL where these little buggers ran rampant. We were 'asked' to beta-test new themes, buddy icons and the like... It was easy to go into insulin overload well before noon!

Awesome, when i first saw the thumbnail i thot it was based on the Dalí painting of his wife Gala, u know where he projects her as hundreds of free floating spheres.

Love the stuff here :D

I think most of us have done that once or twice, I know I have. But the people who do it constantly just irk me.

Ooo-er. That's interesting. It's like a jelly crossed with bagpipes.
It kind of reminds me of that Dali picture... with the head made of balls.
It's an interesting, and rather unique idea.

I know a lot of these guys... it's kinda cute at first, but then your page becomes a mass of colourful blobs. Eek!

I love the little fishes and the creepy staring eye

I personally have a hard time reading messages that have excessive emotes (although i love emotes ) six for ever one word is just silly ;p

Finally broke down and looked through all of these...well actually this is as far as I've gotten so far. I personally don't like this one...I mean I think it's funny, but I don't like the emotion sponge people.

Okay, maybe I do overuse "^^" and ":D" and "o.O", but I'm not that bad, am I? :P

Oh, and I use ":P" a lot, too.

"Disorient" doesn't need an "ate" at the end... and "its," when used as a possessive, doesn't need an apostrophe--but I think I told you that already. >.>

Yes, ">.>" too. I guess I do have a problem. At least I can pride myself on being a "mature specimen." ^^;

I'm going to be a grammar nazi and let you know that there is no apostrophe in the posessive form of it. The last line should read "its butterfly span," not "it's butterfly span."

Oh god that was really evil of me. So to make it up to you, I give you :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :o

It's a fabulous, funny series. :) I have a little correction, though, if you don't mind. It's just tiny: the 'it's' up there should be 'its.' I have this as my wallpaper now. :)

Every single one of theese is so true. I hate it when people just post like an infinity number of emoticons to try to say something. Words still exist.

It's kinda ironic that I have stumbled upon your DA Bestiary at this time. Currently in my English class we are studying the philosophy of steriotypes and we even have a stereotype game. It's good fun

Oh my gosh, this one is so clever- the description is so very fitting for the subject (both in the drawing and the somewhat-human emoticon abusers, heh). I'm really loving this series so far, I wish you luck with the rest of it! :3
